If you’ve spent any time on social media lately, you’ve probably seen Quince popping up everywhere.
The brand is actually pretty new (founded in 2018), but it has become popular for a good reason. They are known for high-quality essentials at an affordable price point.
There are people on both sides of the fence about it. Some love it, some don’t. Since I’ve been wearing Quince for over a year now, I figured it was time to share my thoughts!

I’ve had enough time to really put all of these items to the test. They’ve all gone through multiple washes, different seasons, and everyday wear.
In this article, I’m going to walk you through my entire experience shopping at Quince. I’ll share my honest thoughts on quality, some shopping tips, and I’ll show you my favorite pieces.

Why is Quince So Popular?
So, why is the hype so strong right now for the Quince website? Quince sells quality basics at prices way lower than you’d expect (especially since so much of it is made with organic materials).
Things like cashmere sweaters, linen sets, leather goods, and silk tops at a fraction of what you’d pay at a department store or a premium brand.
Their whole model is built around their direct-to-consumer brand, aka cutting out the middleman, which means lower prices without sacrificing on good quality.
That combination of affordable and elevated is a sweet spot that’s hard to find, so once people discover it, they tend to get excited. That’s pretty much how the brand spread, word of mouth and a whole lot of social media posts.
Is Quince a Good Brand to Buy From?
In my experience, yes, but with a few things to keep in mind.
The quality of most of their pieces is genuinely impressive for the price. You’re not going to get a luxury designer experience (unlike luxury brands, no frills, etc.), but you’re also not paying luxury designer prices, so that’s a fair trade.
Where you do need to manage expectations a little is their consistency. Some pieces are absolute home runs, and others are just fine. That’s why I think it helps to read reviews before buying and to take advantage of the return policy (more on that below) so you can try things on at home without any pressure.
Overall, for the price point, I think Quince delivers more often than not. Plus, after a year of shopping there, I keep going back, which says a lot.
Is It Easy to Return Clothes to Quince?
This is honestly one of my FAVORITE things about shopping with Quince. They offer free shipping and free returns on most items.
Their return policy is really generous. You have 365 days to return items (a whole year!), and returns are FREE (for the first return on an order, subsequent returns may have a fee!). This is subject to change.
This really takes the stress out of buying online, especially when you’re trying something from a new brand and aren’t totally sure how things will fit.
What You Won’t Find at Quince
If you’re heading to Quince looking for fun vacation pieces, bold prints, statement accessories, or anything based on a current trend you’ve seen, you might leave a little disappointed.
That’s just not what they do. Quince is very much a basics brand.
That’s not a criticism at all, it’s just good to know before you shop so your expectations are in the right place.
Quince is your go-to for building a solid wardrobe foundation. It’s not really the place you’d go for a printed sundress to wear on a beach trip or a sparkly top for a girls’ night out.
But for a really great cashmere sweater, a well-made pair of linen pants, or a leather tote that looks like it cost three times what it did? That’s why I love Quince!
Quince Shopping Tips
After over a year of trial and error, here’s what I wish I’d known from the start:
- Use the return policy to your advantage. For denim, especially, I’d recommend ordering a couple of sizes, trying them on at home, and returning the ones that don’t fit. Shopping for jeans online is always a little bit of a gamble when it comes to figuring out your size. Since Quince has such an amazing policy, it’s worth the slight hassle of returning something. It’s better to get the absolutely perfect fit!
- Quince’s cashmere is genuinely lovely, but it may pill a little over time. I want to be upfront about that because some people are caught off guard. Here’s the thing, though, even really, really expensive cashmere pills. It’s just the nature of the fabric. If you do notice some pilling, grab a cashmere comb (they’re inexpensive and easy to find online) and gently remove it. Your pieces will look good as new. Don’t let this put you off the cashmere, because it’s some of the best value they offer.
- Quince shoppers tend to leave really helpful, detailed, honest reviews. If you’re unsure about sizing or fabric quality on a specific piece, the reviews will usually tell you everything you need to know.
- Since Quince does basics so well, that’s where I’d focus your spending. Their everyday essentials, like sweaters, tees, trousers, and outerwear, are where you’ll get the most value and the most wear.
My Favorite Quince Pieces
These are my all-time favorite Quince products. If I had to choose, their dresses would be my top pick. They are so versatile, comfortable, and affordable.
Hopefully, this will help you figure out which items might be useful to have in your own closet.
Plus, you can find most of these in multiple color options (I’m partial to the pretty shades of coastal blue!)
100% Organic Cotton Gauze Tiered Maxi Dress
This dress is SO comfortable, and I know I’ll get years of use out of it. The fabric is a soft, breathable double-knit cotton gauze that feels really lovely to wear, especially in warmer weather.
It has a V-neck in both the front and back, a flowy tiered skirt, and a relaxed fit that I find really flattering and easy to move around in.
Throw on some sandals and a pair of earrings, and you genuinely have a full look with zero effort.
I also love that several of the colorways, like Vintage Cream, the Blue and White Bayside Stripe, Blue Gingham, and Khaki Gingham, all come fully lined with cotton lining. This is especially helpful when you’re outdoors with the sunlight. It’s not see-through at all!
It’s made from 100% organic cotton, which is a HUGE bonus too.
If you’re only going to try one Quince dress, I’d honestly start here!
10% Organic Cotton Fisherman Crewneck Sweater
This might be the best organic cotton sweater of all time! It has the perfect slightly oversized fit, but doesn’t read baggy or frumpy at all.
It has an all-over rib detailing that gives it that cozy, textured feel. Because it’s a lighter weight, it’s way more versatile than a heavy winter knit.
It layers really well, too. You can throw it over a silky skirt for an easy elevated look, or keep it casual with your favorite jeans.
I love the blue color, but it also comes in so many other colors, too!
100% Organic Cotton Gauze Long Sleeve Tiered Mini Dress
Think of this dress as the sister piece to the maxi dress. It’s got the same breezy, lightweight cotton gauze fabric, but with a mini length and long billowy sleeves that give it a really pretty, relaxed silhouette.
Like the maxi, it’s super easy to wear and works for pretty much any occasion.
I have to mention the pockets, because they’re genuinely good pockets, and that’s always worth celebrating.
If you already love casual day dresses, this one will be worn often!
100% Organic Cotton Gauze Smocked Sleeveless Maxi Dress
This dress is another really great warm-weather dress.
What sets this one apart is the smocked bodice. It’s so flattering!
The square neckline is a nice detail, too. It also has two functional side pockets because Quince understands that pockets matter (which we appreciate!).
If you’re 5’3″ or shorter, they suggest going for the petite length. If you’re 5’4″ or taller, the regular length will work best for you.
This is another easy, effortless dress that looks like you put in way more effort than you actually did.
Luna Stretch Flare Jeans
A really great pair of white jeans is hard to find, and these have become one of my go-to pairs. Plus, they are a best seller on the Quince site!
The real selling point here is the fabric. It’s a premium super stretch denim made with organic cotton that is genuinely SO soft and comfortable.
It moves with you, holds its shape throughout the day, and doesn’t have that stiff, uncomfortable feeling you sometimes get with a new pair of jeans.
Their denim and jeans are a fraction of the cost of other brands and SO high quality. If you’re making your first purchase, make sure a pair of jeans makes it into your cart.
This is also a great example of where I’d suggest using that generous return policy to your advantage. Order a couple of sizes, try them both on at home, and send back the one that doesn’t fit.
Finding the right size in jeans online can be tricky, so take the guesswork out of it and give yourself options.
Acetate Smartwatch Band
Although this is not clothing, I wanted to mention it because Quince has an amazing selection of accessories, including watch bands, handbags, and jewelry.
If you’re looking to switch up your smartwatch band, this is a really stylish and thoughtful option.
It’s made from acetate, which is a plant-based, eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic, so you’re getting a more sustainable choice without sacrificing style.
One of my favorite details is that it comes with a complimentary resizing kit so you can adjust it yourself at home for a perfect fit right out of the box.
At the Quince price point, it’s an easy yes! This watch band has become a part of my regular wear.

1. Luxury Organic Cotton Bed Blanket
If you haven’t considered shopping Quince for your bedroom yet, this blanket alone might change your mind. It’s made from 100% organic cotton with a soft, brushed texture and a substantial knit construction that feels really cozy without being too heavy.
The compact weave is snag-free, which is a practical detail that matters more than you’d think. I mean, nobody wants a beautiful blanket getting caught and pulled after a few uses. It layers really nicely and is breathable, so you don’t overheat.
2. Bamboo Dream Quilt Set
This quilt set is seriously dreamy. I feel like the name is pretty fitting.
The bamboo fabric has a silky, incredibly soft feel that you have to experience for yourself, and the moisture-wicking fibers help regulate your temperature so you’re not waking up too hot or too cold in the middle of the night.

It’s breathable and cool, which makes it great year-round. Coming in under $100, it really is a good deal.
Overall Thoughts About Quince
As I was putting together this review, I realized that Quince has genuinely become one of my most shopped spots – mostly for my classic style needs. It’s the one-stop shop for staples at affordable prices!
Whenever I feel there is a “gap” in my wardrobe, whether it be white denim or a cashmere sweater, my first thought is to check Quince. That alone says a lot!
Especially for the affordable price, the quality is hard to argue with, and the range of classics they offer makes it really easy to build a wardrobe full of pieces that actually last.
